Description
This one-of-a-kind Sumak rug (also spelled Soumak) is embroidered in silk. These rugs are flat-weave but thicker than Kilims, although both weaves are considered pileless rugs. Unlike Kilims, Sumak rugs are not reversible because non-clipped yarns are left on the back. This rug features the lotus motif and a remarkable luster that comes from its 100% silk content. This small rug can be framed and used as tapestry art, or on the floor in low-traffic areas. Each one of our rugs is authentic and handpicked by Nedim himself.
