Often spelled "Viss," this heirloom-quality rug showcases bold, large-scale geometric medallions in classic tribal motifs, set against a richly saturated red or indigo ground. Characteristic of the region, the rug is handwoven with a cotton foundation and wool pile, framed with traditional Herati design borders. A unique touch - each corner is adorned with the nomadic falcon motif, a rare and symbolic detail. This piece displays signs of age and high-traffic use, adding character and authenticity.
