Vintage Kurdish Runner | 2'8" x 12'

Regular price $750.00
Description

This one-of-a-kind vintage Kurdish tribal runner is handwoven from 100% wool. Set against a rich crimson field, the design features oversized geometric medallions surrounded by stylized flowers, branching motifs, and a colorful tribal border. The striking combination of deep red, ivory, lavender, blue, and green gives the runner a lively presence while preserving its authentic tribal character.

The large rosette-like medallions are a classic motif found in Kurdish weaving traditions and are often associated with protection, prosperity, and the continuity of family life. The branching forms between them may also represent the tree of life, symbolizing growth and resilience. While these interpretations can vary, they contribute to the rug’s rich cultural character and visual story.

Due to its handmade and vintage nature, the rug has a slightly uneven shape, which adds to its unique character and authenticity. Please send us a message on Instagram if you have any questions or would like additional photos or details.
