Vintage Kurdish Runner Rug | 3'16" x 9'8"

This one-of-a-kind vintage Kurdish tribal runner is made from 100% wool and features a repeating column of hexagonal medallions on a deep indigo ground, each filled with small floral and geometric detail. A bold border of angular hooked motifs runs the length of the piece.

Kurdish tribal weavings come from the mountainous regions of western Iran, known for their sturdy wool and bold, rhythmic medallion patterns passed down through generations of village and nomadic weavers. The long format gives it a striking, graphic presence, ideal for a hallway, entryway, or narrow living space.

Hand-knotted with a coarser, lower knot density.
Low pile with a soft, broken-in feel underfoot.
We suggest using a rug pad underneath to help protect and stabilize the rug.
